The adult Eastern Hellbenders can not reproduce because their eggs start to become dry.

Habitat
This is what a normal Eastern Hellbenders habitat looks like, but, it can be destroyed very easily. By wind blowing things into the water, pollution, and other animals and or humans. If they are bumpy the feel unprotected.

Older Hellbender
This is a picture of an old Eastern Hellbender. They live to be about 50 in captivity or 29 in the wild.

More About Eastern Hellbenders
This is a 46 year old Eastern Hellbender. For some time, he was in captivity due to an extensive injury. After he was healed, the researchers decided to let him go and used radio telemetry in order to track him. He adapted well to the wilderness and lived a long life.

Some Eastern Hellbenders choose to live closer to shore. The water there is sometimes more clear and it's easier for them to hunt. This is the minority of the species seeing as it is a very dangerous and vigorous task for these creatures.
